GRAMMY®-nominated, Platinum®-selling Newsboys brought their blockbuster “Love Riot Tour” to a capacity audience at Nashville’s Curb Event Center Friday night, with the band’s hometown concert also serving as a benefit for the Guardian for Heroes Foundation. Established by late U.S. Navy SEAL and “American Sniper” Chris Kyle, the organization assists combat veterans transitioning to post-military life.
During the evening, Guardian for Heroes’ Jeff Kyle, brother of Chris Kyle, spoke about the foundation’s mission and purpose. In addition, BeastMode for the Brave endurance athlete George Chmiel joined Kyle onstage to share about his run across America to pay homage to veterans and drive awareness of the serious issues they face upon returning home from the battlefield. Chmiel is currently on track to run more than 3,000 miles in 60 days.
Sponsored by ChildFund (childfund.org) and IF 7:14, Newsboys’ Nashville “Love Riot Tour” stop also featured Dove Award-winners The Afters and GRAMMY®-nominated singer/songwriter Ryan Stevenson, as well as special guest hip/hop recording artist Graham Saber. The tour, which kicked-off in September, is slated to hit nearly 50 cities across the country before concluding December 11 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
